Our Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris. By booking a safari or photography tour with us, you are embarking on a journey through Tanzania’s most breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife habitats, and cultural experiences, all under our commitment to safe, responsible, and expertly managed travel. These Terms and Conditions outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both our guests and our company. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. We encourage all travelers to review this document carefully before finalizing any reservations.

 

  1. Reservations

All bookings with Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris require a signed travel agreement, which may be completed electronically. This agreement covers all participants listed in the reservation. The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all participants comply with the terms of the agreement. Upon acceptance of the agreement, a confirmation will be sent via email.

 

  1. Payments
  • A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required within 14 days of booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 65 days before tour commencement.
  • Bookings made within 65 days of departure require full payment at the time of reservation.
  • Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation, and deposits may be non-refundable.

 

  1. Price and Service Adjustments

While we strive to maintain advertised prices and services, Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris reserves the right to adjust pricing in the event of changes to national park fees, taxes, fuel costs, or other unavoidable expenses. Any adjustments will be communicated promptly. Essential service changes may occur up to 14 days prior to departure.

 

  1. Medical Conditions and Special Needs

Travelers must inform us in writing of any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that may affect participation. Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings if we cannot safely accommodate specific needs. Your safety, comfort, and ability to fully enjoy the safari experience are our top priorities.

 

  1. Documentation Accuracy

All travel documents, itineraries, and confirmations should be checked immediately upon receipt. Any discrepancies must be reported to Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris within 14 days. Failure to notify us may result in additional costs, which will be the responsibility of the traveler unless the error originated from our team.

 

  1. Cancellation by Customer

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Our policy is as follows:

  • 65–50 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price is non-refundable
  • 50–0 days before departure: 100% of the total tour price is non-refundable

Deposits for accommodations, flights, or special activities are non-refundable. No-shows or partial use of services will not be refunded, and unused services will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

 

  1. Cancellation by Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris

We reserve the right to cancel a tour under the following circumstances:

  • If a participant significantly disrupts the tour experience; no refund will be issued.
  • If the minimum number of participants is not met 60 days prior to departure, we will notify you and refund any deposits.

 

  1. Liability

Above and Beyond Photographic Tours & Safaris ensures professional planning, reliable service, and responsible management of all partners and suppliers. However:

  • We are not liable for services provided by third parties, including airlines, ground transport, or local vendors.
  • Travelers are responsible for adhering to local laws, securing valid travel documents, and obtaining comprehensive travel insurance.

 

  1. Adventure and Outdoor Risks

Safari and photography tours involve inherent natural risks, including:

  • Encounters with wildlife
  • Uneven, rugged, or remote terrain
  • Variable weather conditions
  • Adventure activities such as hiking, boating, or walking safaris

Participants acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for their personal safety. Adequate preparation, including travel medicine and first aid knowledge, is strongly recommended.

 

  1. Participant Responsibilities

Travelers are expected to:

  • Follow all guidelines and instructions from guides and staff
  • Avoid damaging property, equipment, or wildlife habitats
  • Report any concerns or complaints promptly
  • Respect local communities, cultures, and natural environments

Information regarding local partners, emergency contacts, and safety procedures will be provided. Participants must report any discrepancies immediately.

 

  1. Photography-Specific Considerations

As a photography-focused safari operator, we emphasize:

  • Respecting wildlife and keeping a safe distance during photo sessions
  • Avoiding disturbance to natural behaviors or nesting sites
  • Adhering to guide instructions for optimal and safe photographic opportunities
